Hey Killjoys,
My college graduation commencement was Saturday and it was a blast! I counted it even better than my high school graduation! I didn't get as much cash, but with the cash I got, we might renovate one wall of my room! I got $70 worth of Hot Topic gift cards from my friend and her parents, plus my friend gave me 9 packs of my favorite gum: Orbit!
As is tradition, the gowns were black, and I sweated through it while the 300 students who RSVPed that they would walk crossed the stage and took their graduation photos. I had to clean up once I got home. Thankfully I got to change after all of my pictures had been taken. Our speaker was very good and I was able to identify my family much better this time since my dad picked a better spot to take pictures and my mom's red shirt. That and only half as many people of my high school class graduated.
Lunch was awesome. Meatballs, grilled chicken, two different salads, fruit and vegetables with cake balls as dessert made up a very good lunch! Lots of chit chat and merriment. Not as many people came to the party, and I was actually glad. I felt a little crowded with so many people last time.
I'd tell you everything, but that would probably take up the equivalent of two pages in Microsoft Word. It was an awesome experience- especially since I forgot my name card and had to go back to get it. And they said the "a" in my last name right!
If there's one thank you I must put on here, it's to my shoes. Shoes, thank you for lasting through four years of choir concerts, competitions and Madrigal Feasts; high school graduation, college graduation and other formal occasions for seven years. Shoes, you have turned out to be quite the formal footwear. I thank you for covering my feet for the past seven years. :)
