what am I doing wrong?

People have always told me I'm too serious because I'm not that person that can "live in the moment". I'm continuously thinking about the future, and if the next step I'm going to take is the wrong step. Is that bad? Do I have a security problem? That I need to feel certain about things? Could being like this cost me in the future?
