The next day was relativley quiet, with Harley and Kobra both nowhere to be found. Harley was sitting about a half mile away from the hideout in open desert, her gun shoved in the sand waiting for BLI to come and take her. She didn't even care anyomre. She just wanted to dissappear. Leave this life of running in fear and never come back. Harley's whole life had been a lie, wheat else did she have to live for?
She got yanked into the van with no struggling, no resistance. The Draculoid in the back with her seemed very farmiliar, but she couldn't place why. Just something about the way he moved, th way he held himself reminded her fo someone she'd met before. He pulled out a walkie talkie and said "Killjoy 420 has been taken into custody." As soon as the Draculoid talked, sh knew who it was. "So tath's all I am to you now? A number? I thought I was more than that." She wiped one of the silent tears off her cheek. The Draculoid just shook his head. "I'm not allowed to talk to you." Harley ignored him. "So what number is your brother? And the rest of our friends?" He shook his head again. "That's classified." Harley's voice hardened. "I thought you loved me. But clearly, I was wrong. Just know this.... no matter what you do, I will always love you. Even if you really have turned." He looked at her with huge unblinking eyes. "I could get into some serious trouble for talking to you." She nodded. "I don't care. There's got to be some part of you that hasn't completley turned yet. A part that still remembers how to feel... how to love. How to love me and the rest of your family back in the Zones." After that, both of them were silent. In his mind, he was trying to remember everyone from the Zone's names. He knew their code numbers, but couldn't remember what they were named. One of them was... Gerard. His brother. This girl in the back of the van, her name was.... Harley. The other names, though, he couldn't remember. But, Mikey knew they were somewhere inside his memory, buried deep iinside where even he'd forgotten things were. There was one thing he hadn't forgot though: how much he loved Harley. His heart felt like it was being wrenched in knots. He wanted to open the door, let her out of this prison, but he knew he couldn't.
"Come with me." He said as emotionlessley as possible. He grabbed her by the shoulder and yanked her down the white hallway to something he knew he had to do, but would reget for the rest of his life. He belted her down onto the white table in the small room, then took off his mask. Harley knew what was coming. "Any last requests?" He said, his voice shaking a little. She shook her head. "Just one last kiss from you." Mikey nodded solemly and gently kissed her forehead. "Shut your eyes and try to relax." he pulled out a syringe and a bottle with some red liquid in it. Harley's nerves were shaking so badly. "Tell me I won't feel a thing." She said her voice quivering. "Can't guarentee it." Just to show her in the last moments of her life that he still did care, he took his empty hand and took one of her hands. He found a vein in her arm, injected the red substance and just watched. Her face contorted in pain, then relaxed. Her last words to Mikey were the same as her brother's. "Keep yourself safe. I love you." Then her eyes rolled back in her head, only the whites showing. Harley's life was over. So was Mikey's.
He whipped down the mask. "You guys suck." He shouted at the cameras in the room. Then he stormed back to his old life. His real life.
