Post-Apocalypse Ch.12

Here's chapter 12. Haha. It's funny how I write and nobody even reads x] lol. Well anyways, the song for this one is The Only Hope For Me Is You. Just a heads up, I'm going to be ending the series soon because it seems to be getting a bit off track, and like I said, it's not like anyone reads it anyways x] Well anyways, here it is:
**********************************************************************************************************************
-The next morning during their meeting-
"We're going to attack the BLI."
Everybody's face automiatically shot up to look at Gerard. The room was a mess of confusion. Everybody had their own opinion on it, and nobody could really tell what statement was coming from who.
"Are you joking?" "You can't be serious?!" "Are you kidding me Gee?!" "Ray's got you screwed up man." "Hey!?"
These were only some of the reactions. I mean...... Even I had to admit, it was a pretty trippy idea. The thought of us five nobody's..... Taking over an entire coorperation? Those things just didn't happen. Gerard held up his hand to try and get everyone to shut up. It worked. Things started quieting down to low murmurs.
"I know..... It's a pretty outrageous idea..... But it's the only way to end this thing."
He had a point there. We had waited so long to finish this, to show Battery City that we we're worth something. To show everyone that we were more than some rebel cause. This was the time to do it. The room stood quiet for a bit, but me being me, I didn't have the patience to stay in a quiet place for that long. That just wouldn't cut it.
"When?" I asked. Everyone seemed a bit startled by the sudden question. Apparently Gerard didn't even know the answer to my question, so instead he answered with this:
"I'm not sure, but soon."
Soon. That was such a dangerous word to use, because you never know when it would come and strike. I was hoping that soon for us would be a while. I didn't even bother sticking around. I just got up and walked out of the room. Down the stairs and through the lobby. Nobody follower, but I really didn't care. Being by myself for a while would be good. As soon as I stepped out, sunlight spilled over my body; it felt so warm, so pure. I felt alive. I began humming the lyrics to an imaginary son that was developing in my head," And if we can't find where we belong, we'll have to make it on our own...."
It wasn't until I noticed a faint shadow from behind the motel. When I stepped closer, it was to find that it was a Draculoid. And not just just one of them, I'm talking at least 20. Way to many to take on my self. We kind of just stared at each other for a moment. The strong anticipation acted as a dare, seeing who would be the first to strike. It was me. Except I didn't necassarily strike; I made a run for it. I tried my best to get back to the lobby door, but only made it about a quarters way when they caught up to me. I started screaming and tried fighting them off with my fists and my ray-gun. But I wouldn't work. Like I said, there were just to many. Next thing I knew I was sacked and being pushed along. I coul hear the guys running up from behind, but I just prayed they made it in time, because if not, then we were all screwed.
