Chapter 20
I was answered with a yes. That’s where we got married, backstage in casual clothing; it couldn’t have been any more perfect. I called Anna during the show, “Guess what just happened.” I said waiting to explode. “What?” she said sleepily. “First of all, do you know what time it is?!” I asked. “Yeah, why. Sorry I’m so tired; I’ve been in bed all day.” She said. “Oh, busy with Rob huh?” “Shut up….maybe” she said. “Oh my god! How was it?” I asked excitedly. This hasn’t even happened to me yet; I wanted to know all about her experience. “It was magical” she said. “I’m happy for you. When are you two getting married and having beautiful sparkly vampire babies?” I asked joking.
“Shush; I don’t know but I hope soon” she said whispering. She was probably right next to Rob, “Enough about me; what the hell happened to you??” she asked excitedly. “Well, Gerard and I kinda got married” I said nervously. “OH MY GOD! WHERE?! HOW!?” she flipped. “It was just like 15 minutes ago, back stage. I wouldn’t have it any other way.” I said happily. “I’m so happy for you; but you’re still having a legit wedding right?” she asked seriously. “Defiantly yes.” I said dead serious. “Listen, I gotta go, but I will talk to you later” she said. “Oh one more thing Anna; I’m going on a year-long tour with the boys” I said. “Oh, we have to talk about this later.” She said. We both said we miss each other and said our goodbyes.
Once we were done touring we had time off. Gerard moved in with me and I moved back with Anna and Rob. Twilight was bigger than anyone had anticipated; it blew up. There were 3 other books and they were going to make a movie on each one. We had only been off tour for 2 weeks so we were still moving back in.
“This is hard to say.” Said Anna. “What? I can handle it” I said. “Me and Rob are moving out; Twilight got him a lot of money and we are buying a house in LA so I can dance.” She said. “Oh, so I guess I won’t be seeing you.” I said with my eyes tearing up. Gerard was still asleep and when Rob came out he had boxes already packed. “I’m really going to miss you.” She said. “I will miss you too, it just sucks that I was gone for like more than a year and now your leaving.” I said. I totally understood; a year is a long time apart and they were happily engaged; I was happy for them. Plus LA wasn’t far away so I could visit.
But then I realized; I haven’t seen Gerard’s mom in forever. Now that I’m married to her son it’s even more important that I see her again. Gerard’s stuff was still back in Jersey so we took a trip there. On the plane Gerard was drawing something as I woke up. “What’s that?” I asked sleepily. “Morning beautiful; it’s another issue of umbrella academy.” He said continuing to work. “What’s umbrella academy?” I asked. He turned to me and looked at me like I’ve been living under a rock for years. “What?” I asked alarmed. “It’s my comic book.” He said. “You have an actual comic book?!” I asked. “Yes, I have for a whole 2 years!” he said. “Remember back when we were freshman and you told me to make an actual comic book out of the bits I had on my desk?” he asked. “Yes.” I said. “Well I finished it and it got published. You were supposed to go in the credits but something happened and you never got printed on there.” He said sadly. “That’s sweet of you, I love you Gerard” I said looking into his eyes. “I love you Mrs. Way” he said as he kissed me.
