Priceless Vacation (new song by me)

Priceless Vacation
_________________________

After eagerly preparing for the vacation that he hopes will change his luck
Carrying his under-packed luggage through the door, of course it gets stuck

He picks up his phone to say bye to his best-friend
And her hello is “these nonstop calls have to end”

“Lonely” doesn’t even begin to describe
How this boy has been socially deprived
Without a home in the whole town or even a place to hide
He traveled all around, but something was trapped inside

After his plane lands he calls the friend he’s supposed to meet
And her quick excuse is “the traffic is just impossible to beat”

The taxi to her house takes five minutes; he thinks maybe she was mistaken
But when he goes in it she flips out that he “just can’t fucking take a hint”

When he arrives at his place he asks several friends if they want to hang out at his hotel
They don’t say “come stay here” or even “naw thanks” it’s always just “go to hell”

So soon he’s just sitting in his hotel room all alone
And thinks to himself “this feels too much like home”

“Lonely” doesn’t even begin to describe
How this boy has been socially deprived
Without a home in the whole town or even a place to hide
He traveled all around, but something was trapped inside

The walk to a friend’s house takes an hour and a half
But the person shuts the door on his face and laughs

He calls up through the glass to the class clown
From his window he answers he’s not in town

“Lonely” doesn’t even begin to describe
How this boy has been socially deprived
Without a home in the whole town or even a place to hide
He traveled all around, but something was trapped inside

He asks out his crush and the answer from his high-school’s most hated girl
“Um, I wouldn’t fucking date you even if you were the last guy in the world”

The whore says maybe someone will love you, but it won’t be me
“Honey, I’m sure you’ll find love one day, though it won’t be cheap”

Almost bored to death, he dials up a girl who once fucked him, just to say thanks
But she doesn’t even recall him and the few words that stuck are “is this a prank”

Now twiddling with the dangling phone cord he dials suicide hotline
But after he asks to hang out, the guy laughs, saying, “I’d rather die”

“Lonely” doesn’t even begin to describe
How this boy has been socially deprived
Without a home in the whole town or even a place to hide
He traveled all around, but kept his closest friend inside

He dials up the nicest person in the whole school
Who says “sorry kid, but I’m just way too cool”

This goes on and on until he’s finally back home and again he’s all alone
Hasn’t been gone for long but has no more contacts left on his phone

“Lonely” doesn’t even begin to describe
How this boy has been socially deprived
Without a home in the whole town or even a place to hide
He traveled all around, but kept his closest friend inside

Although it wasn’t a utterly disappointing vacation
After all, from this little experience, he made a brand new friend
This time he didn’t just steal a lifeless shopping mall mannequin
He brought home a fancy voodoo doll of him

There’s just no way to get him back from where he’s gone
How did he manage to stay alive so long
Without a home in the whole town or even a place to hide
His closest friend was a cup full of tide

After hearing the news of his poor emotional health
At the funeral, none of the killers blamed themselves
The people who knew him, in the end
Of course, they all blame his friends
