“It was dark but all the people in the crowd were screaming: “MCR-MCR-MCR”. Our screams made a white spotlight switch on, and Gerard appeared a cigarette between his lips... There’s no word which is strong enough to describe this performance...” - Caroline W.
“I can say that it was the best show of my life. This show is gonna be stuck in my mind until I die and even after!” - Samantha A.

Hey Motorbabies!
November 1st 2010 was one of the best days of my life. You know this kind of day which even if you want to forget, you can't. Yeah, November, 1st 2010, I met My Chemical Romance.
With my friend Anna, we arrived in front of La Cigale. We entered the hall with the other winners of another contest for a French radio. After everyone got their golden wrist band, we all went to a room where the band was waiting for us. When I saw them, the only thing that was in my mind was "Look! It's My Chem. They're right here!". That's really stupid and I know that... Anyway, the conference began with the question "How do you feel about come back in Paris?" Of course, they were really glad and said that the French crowd is a really good one. I guess they said that in every city but they meant it and that is the most important! Then, some other questions were asked about the new album, the brotherhood in work for Mikey and Gerard, and I remember that Gerard said that he loves to color his hair so bad. They also said that they will come back soon in Europe for more dates: there were one in France and like 6 in Germany. When the conference ended, we (the two reporters and their guests) could go see the band. When the Warner Bros. lady opened the curtain to let me go see them, I did but, it seems like a dream: they were talking and when the lady introduced us they turned around to see us, they greeted us. They also signed my "Three cheers for a sweet Revenge" record and Gerard tried to not "fuck up" my name as he said.
They were so friendly, they thanked us for coming but it's us who have to thank them for their so amazing music. And I knew I have something to say to Mikey but I totally forgot at this moment. But now I know! Mikey, I love your shoes! I need to know where you buy them. To finish, we took a picture with the band and I was next to Frank, I was sooo glad. Then we went to the show. And I can say that it was the best show of my life. And I mean it. At the first song, the crowd was already jumping, in all directions and Gerard moved on every single part of the stage. Mikey had his beautiful silver bass and posed like he posed all his life, I loved taking pictures of him. Frank stayed on his part of the stage but played so well, as usual, like Ray. Gerard surprised everyone when he invited a fan on stage to sing "Our Lady Of Sorrow" with him. And of course, we all sang the birthday song for Frank, twice at the show and once at the conference. I hope he wasn't be bored! Anyway, one last time, Happy Birthday Frank! Also, during the show, they made the best "The Ghost of You" version I've ever heard. At the end of "Mama", Gerard sang like a kid, with his beautiful voice and reminded everyone that My Chemical Romance is almost 10 years old now, and they keep their kid's soul. They played "Desolation Row" and that was a really good one! They played a couple of new songs and I can say that the record is gonna kick some ass!! I can't wait to listen to "Destroya" again and again when the record is available! Otherwise, boys took their shirts off in demand of Gerard for "You know what They do to Guys Like us in Prison" and everyone got wild and jumped everywhere while they played "Teenagers" with Gerard with the Mikey helmet in the "Na Na Na" video. The show ended with "Kids from Yesterday", the song that the band prefers to play live now, and Gerard climbed the fences to be in touch with fans.
This show is gonna be stuck in my mind until I die and even after! The band is such a good band in live. This show was exceptional and I could meet the persons who help me through the hard times. I can't never thank them enough, I owe them so much. They are a real inspiration for me and a kind of role model.
One last time, Thank you for everything and for this fucking great show!!

La Cigale. Paris. 11/01/10. This night, nothing could kill the joy of all the fans who were waiting for My Chemical Romance! Nothing.
When the lights turned off, every single person in the crowd became really excited. Gerard is a front man, and Frank, Mikey, Ray and he know their jobs! Way likes to play with his band mates, but with the audience too! Na Na Na is a “song build for the live”. After this first song, the fans began to sing “Happy Birthday to You, Frank” spontaneously, and it sounded like a “Welcome back in France, MCR”. Then, it was Thank You for the Venom, one of the songs that I expected the most! Gerard was dancing like a God, Mikey was incredible with his bass and the solo’s played by Ray and Frank were just one of the greatest moments of the show. Mike Pedicone gave all that he’s got with the drums. Being in front of the scene, at 1 meter from MCR who was playing this song is the biggest present I have ever dream of. Next, it was Planetary (GO!). Even if we didn’t know all the lyrics of this new song, everyone in the pit was dancing! And with “I’m not okay”, the temperature increased again.
When Gerard announced “a song from a movie…a song from Bob Dylan”, it was a big surprise because it wasn’t on the set-list of the last European show. Desolation Row is just perfect live, and the aggressiveness of this song made the crowd just crazier. Gerard even said that it was the best show they ever played in France. After this declaration, he was searching for his “Honey”. A fan who comes from America to see their show was invited on stage to sing Our Lady of Sorrows. A really great performance for the only song from “Bullets” they played that night. After this electric time, the ambiance became sweeter and slower with the first song of the show from “The Black Parade”: I Don’t Love You. When the lights turned pink and when Gerard was crossing the stage with his hand before him, I thought “OMG, it’s just like The Black Parade is Dead! in Mexico. But this time, I’m not home, but at a real show”. After this cute moment, Gerard wanted a little more of “Prison attitude”. He asked he boys to take their t-shirts off and to brandish them above the pit. The “cabaret” song was really powerful, especially when everyone screamed with the same voice “LIFE IS BUT A DREAM”. I was trembling. Gee asked another favor to the crowd: sing “Happy Birthday” to Frank again, what we did with pleasure!
After two songs from Danger Days (The Only Hope for Me is You and DESTROYA), a piano began a famous melody…and all the fans were singing with Gerard the intro of “Welcome to the Black Parade”. I couldn’t contain my tears, but it was happy tears. I think that this song means a lot for a great part of the MCR’s fans, and when everyone was screaming “I Don’t Care” and “We’ll Carry On”, the emotion was reaching its peak. Gerard went down the stage to be closer to the crowd. After the wonderful version of Helena, everybody clapped their hands for Mama! During this song, it was like the complete chaos in the pit and on stage. Everyone was jumping everywhere! “Teenagers is our song, but it’s your song too” said Gerard…and it was not a lie! All the mass screamed the lyrics, from the beginning to the end! The lights turned green for the Ghost of You, which brought a little intimacy on La Cigale.
MCR and the fans made only one voice! And it was exactly the same when Sleep woke the fire up! It was dark but all the people in the crowd were screaming: “MCR-MCR-MCR”. Our screams made a white spotlight switch on, and Gerard appeared a cigarette between his lips. Cancer. There’s no word which is strong enough to describe this performance…To finish the show in a way more powerful as the way he began, the band played another new song from Danger Days called “Kids from Yesterday”. It’s Frank’s favorite song to play live. That was he said during the interview before the show…a nice present to him and to the fans! It was the first My Chem’s show for me…and after listening a thousand times to LOTMS and TBPID, I was in the crowd, and THEY were on stage! We didn’t watch them on the screen…but live! Merci pour tout. And we’ll carry on!
