This day means alot to me (Along with the Day of Silence.)
I used to constantly cut myself in 6th grade. Constant cuts crosshatching the other, covering my arms completely.
It was my only way to cope.
I had to talk to the school therapists, teachers, official therapists, and go to the local hospital to make sure I was "okay."
I'm never going to be okay, actually. But that's okay. ( I'm noooooooottt ooookkaaayyyy!!! )
But I won't cut anymore.
Because I have faith.
I still have some scars on my arms, hands, and legs.
Everytime I look at them, I smile and think "I've come a long way."
One time, my teacher said to me, "Does it hurt?" And I said "No, it doesn't." And she said, "Well, I think that your emotional pain blocks out the pysichal."
In sixth grade.
I was twelve years old. Twelve.
I used to starve myself. I wouldn't eat. Not that I wasn't happy with the way I was, it was just, I lost the will to eat. I was too depressed.
Now I am dedicated to talk people out of self harm, because I know how bad it is.
On March 1st, is the official Self Harm Awareness Day.
Either wear orange, or draw an orange circle on your hand... do something.
