"You hold in your hands the story of five kids who have had their dreams come true. We would like to dedicate this release to our families & loved ones who've believed in us from the beginning. To all of our friends who work tirelessly to keep MCR dangerous, and to the fans...this is for you. Thank you from the bottom of our black little hearts for staying so pure, so passionate and so strong. Your belief in us is immeasurable and for that we love you eternally." -MCR Life on the Murder Scene
This is a thank you note from MCR. If you have Life on the Murder Scene then you will have already read it. MCR has thanked us for being amazing fans, and remaining pure and strong. But what has happened to us? What has happened to the MCRmy I must ask? I see fights started on Youtube about really stupid things. And the worst part is that it's between fans. If one fan gets some wrong information about the history of MCR then someone will jump on them to make them feel like crap. And all because they don't know Gerard Way's birth-date. We are constantly fighting with each other for no reason at all. But not only that! I heard someone recently (I wont be naming usernames) who said if you are part of the MCR scene but your also part of another Pop, or Rap, Etc. then you aren't a true fan. I hate when people say that "true fan". What is a true fan anyways? Is it someone who has every single MCR song downloaded into their Ipod? Is it someone who knows all of MCR's history memorized? Is it someone who claims MCR saved their life? Well don't get me wrong but I think a true fan is someone who likes the music for what it is. Someone who likes the message that it sends. Someone who doesn't care about the back story of the band but is just there for the music. There are many true fans, however some are more Die-Hard than otheres, and for some reason the two usually don't get along. But that's not right to anyone, we need to make everyone feel welcome to just enjoy the music. Not everyone needs to be a Die-Hard. So you see it's not fair to claim that someone who enjoys one type of music isn't allowed to like another. We need to stop fighting over random and ridiculous things. We are the MCRmy. We are a family, and we need to start acting like it again.
