Ch 30: guilty feelings

I cried as nick was placed on a stretcher and into the ambulance frank, ash, mikey, megan and ray all ran up to me I immediately went to frank and cried onto his chest, I felt a hand rub my back and his calm, soothing voice whispering genital words to calm me down I stopped crying and yawned, closed my eyes and blacked out. I woke up in bed…alone and cold. I got up and walked out into the living room to find ray on the floor with nikki, ash was in the extra room with frank, mikey and megan were asleep on the couch and nikki looked over to me and started screaming “CWACKERS! CWACKERS!” I smiled slightly as she stood up, she ran over to me, her small feet making a pitter pat sound as she ran to me and stopped in front of me “mama?” she asked I looked at her hazel eyes and she looked exactly like nick “no…nikki you wanna go to the park?” I said she clapped, I picked her up and walked to her room, I picked out her favorite shirt and shorts and her sandals and dressed her in them, I then placed her down and she ran to the extra room and ran inside to where frank was sleeping, his one hand was dangling off the edge, she took his hand and kissed the top of it, and then ran back to me “dada” she said I smiled and picked her up “ready for the park?” I said she smiled and we walked to the park, she immediately ran for the swings I picked her up and set her down in the swing she clapped, I took a picture and smiled, after about and hour she began to get tired “time for nikki to take her nap!” I said picking her up she laid her head on my chest and yawned “night angle” I said as she fell asleep, her small hands gripping my shirt as I walk home with her in my arms I walked inside to see frank and ash on the couch, his hand was on her stomach and they were smiling “hey..” I said they waved and I pit nikki in her crib, “uhm…im gonna go see nick..” I said as I waked to the hospital, I walked to her room and saw her laying their, her arms were bruised and cut, I walked over to her “nick..” I said she opened her eyes and I smiled “y-your awake!” I yelled she smiled and turned her head “hey” she said smiling I gently hugged her and she hugged me back real tight “how’s your arms?” I asked she looked at them “their okay” I smiled and grabbed her hand, she held my hand tight as I brushed the hair out of her eyes, she had bruises on her arms and she had a big one on her stomach “im sorry…” I said she put her soft hand on my cheek “its not your fault.” she said her soft hand was cold on my cold face “I love you” she said “I love you too” I said hugging her she smiled and yawned “tired?” I said she nodded, I looked at her and stroked her soft hair, she yawned and fell asleep holding my hand I smiled, got up, bent down and kissed her on the forehead “night love…ill see you tomorrow” I said leavening the room, when I got home ash was asleep and frank was playing with nikki “okay…who’s that!” he said pointing to me, nikki got up, and ran to me “DADA! DADA!” she said I picked her up and she smiled “hahaha hi sweaty” I said she clapped, I gave her back to frank and watched as she poked his cheek “im gonna take a nap…see you guys tomorrow” I said going to my room I laid down and fell asleep thinking of how much I miss nick..
-six weeks later-
Franks P.O.V
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________I woke up next to ash, its been 6 weeks and her stomach was already growing I smiled…twins! “morning frank” she said snuggling close to me I smiled I placed my hand on her stomach and she smiled “doesn’t nick come home today?” she asked “yah….come on! Were going to get her before gee wakes up as a surprise” I said, ash got up and we got dressed “ready?” I said she nodded and we walked outside to the car, we drove to the hospital and got nick she was smiling the whole time, I hugged her and she hugged me back tightly “I missed you guys” she said hugging ash “we missed you too nick” she said nick looked at me and smiled “how’s gee? Has he been ya know…okay?” she said worried I looked at ash “not really..” I said “has gone back to the uhm…drinking” I said she dropped to her knees “n-no...no...NO!” she started crying I picked her up “ its okay mikeys stopping him he’ll be fine” I said she just kept crying I looked at ash she was almost in tears too, I walked them back to the car and nick sat in the back with ash, I drove them home and when we got to gees their was a big banner that said “welcome home nick! We missed you!” nick just looked at the ground as we walked inside gee was on the couch with a bottle of beer in hand nikki was with mikey in her room, I heard nick run off to the bathroom gee got up ad stumbled after her I watched as she pushed him away he looked so sad when she yelled at him “YOU ASS YOU PROMISED ME YOU WOULD NEVER DRINK AGAIN!” she yelled “I-I didn’t mean..” gee said she just pushed him away and walked into the attic, gee just walked into the hallway and fell to his knees crying, ash ran over to him and helped him up, he held onto her crying “it’s a-all my fault..” he said ash just hugged him, I walked up into the attic and saw her laying their on the floor crying her eyes out. I walked over to her and hugged her, she cried and cried and I just let her, when she stopped she was still holding onto me her hands gripping onto my chest and her face hidden in my neck I rubbed her back and she fell asleep. I carried her downstairs and gee was asleep on the couch so I laid nick on top of him he immediately woke up and held onto her she started screaming curses at gee when she did I pulled her away from him as she tried to push him down she wasn’t their it was someone else “NICK STOP HE DIDN’T MEAN IT!” I yelled she stopped and opened her eyes “g-gee..” she said looking at him he looked down “im sorry nick…” he said I let her go, she walked over to gee and kissed him he melted into her and kissed back “it fine...just don’t do it again…okay?” she said he nodded and hugged her I smiled and turned to my ash she was sitting on the other couch drawing, her stomach was just like a large bump I smiled and sat by her.
Nicks P.O.V

I hugged gee as much as I could, I just got home and we got into a fight… “nick its okay I know you didn’t mean to yell” he said kissing the top of my head, I pulled him closer to me and kissed him he kissed me back and smiled when nikki started to cry he pulled away and got her, nikki held onto him and stopped crying, she smiled when gee handed her to me I smiled as she kissed my cheek “hey angle…how are you?” I asked her she just smiled and clapped, I handed her to mikey and he smiled “HE SMILED!” I yelled mikey rolled his eyes and laughed, I smiled and looked at gee, he was sitting in the corner his head between his knees and his hood over his head, I sat next to him “gee? babe what’s wrong?” I asked he looked at me and smiled a little I hugged him, “I-im…im fine” he said smiling “no gee tell me” I said he sighed “depressed…that’s all…” he said looking at his ring his white hair sticking up in the back, he laid his head on my chest and closed his eyes I smiled and held his hand, my cold hand wrapped around his cold hand, I almost forgot we were vampires. I smiled and whispered “don’t be depressed you have me don’t you?” I said he smiled “true…” he said opening his eyes I smiled and kissed his cheek he giggled and tried kissing me I pulled away and he just laid his head back on my chest and closed his eyes I smiled as he played with my hand as he kept his eyes closed “gee why are you depressed?” I asked he shrugged “I just am..” he said moving away from me I pulled him back to me and he curled up into a ball and tried hiding, I sighed and looked down “gee…” I said he looked at me and I hugged him, he hugged me back and hid his face in my neck I smiled and he fell asleep like that, I had frank almost carry him to the couch, when I saw the small cuts on his wrist, it broke my heart “wh-what…when d-did that happen?” I said pointing to his wrist frank sighed “he didn’t really feel important last week, so he did that but ash walked in and stopped him he didn’t want you to get upset over it” he said I just fell, straight to my knees and started to cry, frank helped me up and I hugged him and cried until I couldn’t cry anymore I just sat their, on the floor next to the couch waiting for gee to wake up, “nick?” he said waking up, I got up, and ran to him and hugged him, he was tense for a minuet but soon relaxed “I love you” I said he laughed “what’s up with you?” he said I took his wrist and un-covered the cuts he looked away “im sorry…I didn’t mean to…” he said, a tear rolled down his pale face I wiped it away “its fine gee just…” I said “I know don’t do it again” he said I laughed a little “promise?” I said he nodded and kissed me, that ceiled the promise, he pulled me down onto his lap and hugged me, I smiled “I missed you so much gee” I said holding onto him, he smiled “I missed you too babe” he said I giggled and laid my head on his chest, his hand was on my leg and I just smiled, he was my life and I never wanted to lose him, “Im hungry” I said he laughed “you want something to eat?” he asked I got up and grabbed my bag of chips he smiled “really? Chips?” he said I nodded and he laughed I sat back down on his lap and leaned agents him he had his on hand on my waist and the other was holding onto mine, I smiled. Him and nikki were the only people I needed today.
