Japan was good times...

I had no idea where I was...

Thanks to everyone that came out to the shows, we had a great time. Literally talking over the dead-mic on stage after the first song just laughing at the fact that blowing shit up and rocking a stadium was what we did for a living. Luckiest people in the world.
I didn't take as many photos this time as I usually do, and a lot had changed in Tokyo, having been gone for a few years... it's kind of crazy to notice a city that was alien to you start to change.
It was also really great seeing our crew again, as well as some of our new guys...
This was taken while I was walking around alone, just sweating my ass off in a leather jacket in Shibuya...

Artist suggestion

To start off, I'm a big fan of The Umbrella Academy, and I'm excited to see what comes of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys". The Umbrella Academy kind of put me back into the swing of buying and reading comics, even if just casually, titles like Fables, Flight, and this mini-series called I Kill Giants, which I love endlessly.

I'm an illustration major at Massachusetts College of Art right now.
I have this one teacher right now, and I am just a big stupid drooling idiot for his artwork. His name is Mister Reusch. He likes to draw lots of skeletons, Frankenstein, devils, and burlesque dancers. (He has this one Frankenstein painting that reminds me a lot of Ed Roth, if you like him). I just feel like you might click with his art, maybe because you're able to both be horror fans without sloshing blood all over drawings, or maybe you'll enjoy his wok because Halloween is coming just around the bend (though he draws and paints this all year). He makes monster masks and plays guitar and has big sideburns that impress me.

misterreusch.blogspot.com

I'm sure he'd be embarrassed at this plug, but I stumbled upon a video from a couple years back of you showing some paintings of a vampire and a mummy, and you just sort of reminded me of one another. In a weird, inexact way.

I just hope you're like me and you like when people are like "hey look at this art! isn't this art neat? hooray for art!"

Yay, Japan

I love Japan! I've just recently been, in September/October... It was great... And I love Shibuya too ~ lots of music stores <3
Hope to go again someday, maybe spend a bit longer in Tokyo...

Japan

I wanna go to Japan!!!! I love Japan! One of my friends are going to Japan next year, and they are going to stay there for six months. So unfair! >.<

good job, guys...

wow,,guys..you're awesome... :))
your concert is success...! :D
yeaah, i think that.. Japan is soo lucky... ><
xo

Yep, Japan is awesome

I know, I went to Japan this past summer for a week, it was fun....and freakishly clean. (no cigs on the ground AT ALL) I had so much fun in Tokyo, I wanted to go back so badly. Tokyo was very quiet, even if I was in Shinjuku, it has been known (from all my anime mags) that it is very lively. Its quiet during the day...but at night...bright neon signs EVEYWHERE. Also Shinjuku Station in Shinjuku is VERY easy to get lost in.

Well I wish I could of seen you guys, but 2 trips to Japan in one summer, probably will NEVER happen.

Flying and TUA

Man, if only I had the cash, I would've ditched school and flown over from England to see you play... I so want to see you guys! I was a little bit too young to see you when I became a fan, so I haven't seen you play yet, but one of my dreams is to follow you around the UK and Europe and see every show!!!
Can't wait to get the new Umbrella Academy book!! The first one RAWKS! >.< I'm goanna get the special edition of both soon!
Love always!!!
Jeese XOXO

Japan...

I've never been to Japan...maybe would like to go...this is an honest curiosity...it's always baffled me that you go to Japan and you sing in english yet they can understand...I don't mean that to sound racist or horrible in any way...it's honestly a very stupid question I supose...is there more american speaking people over there than I had thought or what...idk...ha...anywho...

Yea....

that very same question bugs me too....

osteosarcoma.

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying fatherhood... It is a wondeful feeling.. I have a serious question.. I am not sure if you have any clue what osteosarcoma is but it is a rare and most of the time deadly cancer.. I have been battling this cancer for three years now.. A friend of mine who has been going threw the same battle has been trying to start a Bad II The Bone non-profit organization to help bring awarness to this cancer.. She does what she can by creating t-shirts and selling them to raise money for the cause but as you may know, coming up with money while fighting cancer is a hard trick to pull off... I (we) were wondering how hard it would be to have MCR help us throw a benefit concert to 1. raise money for more shirts and 2. make more and more people aware that with there help there is hope... I would like to post just a few things off her page to let you and others on here know what osteosarcoma is all about and then I would like to leave my email address if you are interested.. We would love your support..

BAD II THE BONE
Category: Organizations - Non-Profit Organizations
Description: This a group that is bring awarness to osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and helping others with their fight!!

Osteosarcoma is a rare form of bone cancer. About 1 in 757,000 get it. Yet in it's rarity there are a lot affected, mainly children and young adults. This cancer is 75% curable, but I BIIB believes it can be 100% curable with knowledge of this rare cancer.

This cancer normally attacks in the upper femur, upper radial, or knee. The next place it attacks is the lungs, that's why it's so important to stop it before it spreads.

Osteosarcoma spreads quickly so it must be hit hard with chemo, and that insists of taking all chemo treatments in the hospital because they are so strong. Aproximatly 36 weeks is the current treatment plan. After 10 weeks of treatment surgery is performed to remove tumor and to salvage the limb that was damaged.

This is an aggressive cancer that needs aggressive attention!!!

BAD II THE BONE SELLS T-SHIRTS AND OTHER APPAREAL TO HELP WITH THE FIGHT AGAINST OSTEOSARCOMA.

We would love it if MCR could help us out..
Thanks again,

Leather jacket is back?

So, the leather jacket is back? Bad ass, man.

I remember when you had that ripped up one at shows in 2003, haha.

The fashion over there is

The fashion over there is sickkk. i want to go there just to be all wild for once without someone harshly judging you. Be myself with clothes for a few hours. (:

WHOA.

I'm so jealous. Seriously! I'm going to study Japanese and i haven't even been there! I'm saving up to go in the next summer though :]
I really hope you'll be there next year too!
But i think i'm thinking unrealistic. At least drop by in the Netherlands when you're touring again ^^

Japan is Epic

I am absolutely jealous of your trip to Japan. It is one of the most amazing and epic places in the world. Even though I ALSO have this amazing job where I get to travel the world shopping (as a woman I must say that rivals a job where you're paid to travel and play music), it's one place I have never been but am looking forward to bringing my whole family to visit in the coming years. As my son gets older and comes to appreciate life and all its weirdness, and seeing as Japan is the capital of that, I imagine he would really be all over that. I hope you had an amazing time and congratulations on the new addition to your family. I hope she brings you a lifetime of beautiful memories that you will cherish always, the way I feel about having my son almost eight years ago.

Well hello!

Thanks for the invite! I am so freakin' happy to be a member!
Thanks again! -kat

As if you wore a leather

As if you wore a leather jacket
I was wearing t-shirts and I was dying from the heat!

I believe!

I really believe that he did wear a leather jacket. He is kinda nutty, in the best and most stylish way of course. Gerard is to leather as sun is to heat. They just go together.

And doesn't he wear them until they like, melt off of him? hahaha

picture.

whoa, that picture you took is epic!
japan looks fucking incredible.

Loving this :D

Gerard, I like your picture :)
& I love to take pictures of everything so yea awesome:)

I have bugged you guys about this before...

..but I am begging you. PLEASE cover "Take These Chains". Every time I hear that tasty jam, I imagine just how rockin' it would sound if you guys did your own take on it.
The snarl that Gerard could put into the "TAKE! These chains offf!!!" part would make anyone shit out their intestines upon first listen.
C'mon. Please?
Do you fans agree with me? If you haven't heard the song, it's on the album 'Screaming For Vengeance', by Judas Priest. Get the entire record.

P.S. Where do you get your leather jackets, G?
