For my family, March is the month of being broke. There's loads of birthdays and Mother's Day all in the same month. Here, I'll show you.
- My mum's birthday ~ 10th March (today)
- Mother's Day ~ 10th March this year (today)
- My sister's birthday ~ 12th March (Tuesday)
- My uncle's birthday ~ 14th March (Thursday)
- One of my mum's best friends' birthday ~ 15th March (Friday)
- My birthday ~ 23rd March (a week on Saturday)
There's a few others, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
So yeah, there's a lot of presents and cards to buy in March. It kind of doesn't help that I'm one of those people who like to completely spoil the person's whose birthday it is, so I try to buy them as much as I can. I can't afford to though, so most of the time I try to at least get them a card or even if I can't do that I post on their Facebook wall.
Today, for my mum's birthday and Mother's Day, I bought her 2 cards (Mother's Day and birthday) and a box of Ferrero Rocher's because they're the one chocolate thing she loves as a joint Mother's Day/birthday present, I'm cooking her dinner (it's a fish thing I think) and I'm doing all the housework chores, doing loads of things for her and helping her, just basically spoiling her rotten.
For my sister's birthday I couldn't figure out what to buy her so I just bought her a card and because she's really short on money I put £50 in her card. My dad told me not to put too much in but come on, it's her 18th, I have to try and do something special. We're having a meal out on Tuesday for her too. She's really obsessed with Black Butler (an anime) so we got some cake icing with Sebastian on it, and she requested a chocolate cake so we bought a chocolate cake and we're just going to take the little chocolate decorations off (and eat them) and put the Sebastian icing on top of it (we always take the easy route).
For my uncle's and mum's best friend's birthdays I really want to get them at least cards but I rarely see my uncle and don't know his address so I can't even mail it to him, and I don't really know my mum's best friend, but I want to get her one because I know she's close to my mum (is that weird?), so I'll just have to settle with posting on their Facebook walls.
For my birthday? I'm not fussed. I don't even care about it tbh. I've just asked for an iPod and iTunes card and requested a Batman cake (I LOVE Batman). My sister said that for my birthday she's going to take me shopping, so I might buy some new clothes or manga books.
Anyways, I'll be going. I've got a mother to spoil. :3
