I wish I had a more developed voice :/

I love to sing, and some people have told me I'm good but I don't really know....but I DO wish I had a more developed voice. I have a pretty good range, I can do two octaves from G in bass cleff to high G, but that's not that impressive.
Anyway, what I really want is to be able to use different tones with my voice, like scratches, growls, different types of vibrato, etc. Gah. I guess I'll just have to work for it. Meh.
