Trapped In The Darkness With Only A Torch Running On Two AA Batteries

I don’t like batteries they always like to run out of power just when you need them the most. Okay I think it’s best if I example why I hate batteries, and the only way to do that is by telling you a little story. It was only a few weeks ago, I was on a camp for all music and drama students at my school, and I went, but I fell seriously ill on this camp and had to spend a lot of time in bed, in a lonely cabin, which was dark a lot of the time. I don’t mind the darkness but I do need a little bit of light to stop me from going crazy or hurting myself because I banged into a wall or something like that, but on one of the nights the torch I was using to see with ran out of batteries. The two AA batteries had failed me and I was plunged into darkness, now I didn’t care much about the darkness but I couldn’t leave my bed if I needed anything and I needed to get to my phone which was on the other side of the cabin and it was a big cabin. So I waited alone in the dark for someone to come back to the cabin, and they took a really long time. So I kept waiting and since my mind is far from sane I start to create a horror story in my head, and it scared me so badly. When the girls finally returned to the cabin, they turned on the light, and walked into see me curled up in my bed shaking with fear. They found it hilarious but I didn’t, I thought they were rude for laughing at me but I soon enough started laughing with them. Don’t get me wrong I still hate batteries, but the events of that night were very funny, after they had happened not during. So all batteries out there I understand that you can’t keep my torch powered up forever, but next time could you please run out of power when I am not in the dark, and I forgive you little batteries.
