I Was Gifted With An Amazing Dream Last Night. Chapter One

Do you ever wake up after having an amazing dream and then have to see the reality that the dream was just a dream and it was only in your head, well that happened to me last night. I had the most perfect dream and every part of it seemed so real but as usual I had to wake and see that I was still in my bedroom filled with boxes which I packed months ago, which now I think about it I should really unpack them. Anyway even though it was just a dream I can still tell everyone what it was about, right? So this blog is all about my dream that I had last night, prepare to witness my crazy mind.

I had just graduated from high school and I was ready to leave my house and family to chase after my dreams and the best opinion I had at that point in time was to move to the United States of America (do remember this is a dream). My bags were packed and my ticket was booked and I was ready to go to the USA. Of course my Mum was sad to see me go but that’s just her, but it didn’t stop me from getting on that aeroplane and flying away from all the bad things that had happened in my past and I was flying towards my new life. The flight was horrible and long, the seats weren’t comfortable at all and there was some noisy children sitting behind me who spoke for the majority of the flight, and they were the reason for my head ach that I had when the plane landed, but nothing was going to ruin my first day in America. I walked out of the airport once I had all my things, and I stepped outside the door of the airport and breathed in the fresh air, I was finally in America the place I had been dreaming about for my whole life.

I followed the sidewalk, not trying to head anywhere, just trying to see parts of the country of my dreams, I was in New York and I didn’t want to leave. Time flow by like the cars on the road, and the sky soon began to shine with orange and purple shades. At this point I knew I had to get in a taxi and go to the apartment I had organised while I was still living at home. I didn’t want to leave the sidewalk but my Mum had warned me about the streets at night and just so she could sleep easily a got in a taxi. The taxi driver was a real New York guy, whom was like the guys I had seen in movies all the time, but I never believed that anyone actually was like that, it just surprised me to see how much like a movie character he was, but he was a very nice man.
“So, what brings ya here to the big apple?” the taxi driver questioned.
“I needed to chase my dreams and I didn’t want to stay at home, so I thought here was a good place to start again.” I replied
“Oh, ya one of those girl, let me guess you wanna be on Broadway?”
“No I want to be a rock singer, but I also want to see all round America. I just started here and maybe this will be the place where my dreams get a kick start.”
“Maybe, but I’ve seen many youngsters come to New York wanting to be some big star, on the big stage, with all those crazed fans, and all the photos of them in the magazines.”
“I don’t want the fame; I just want to perform and try to make a difference in the world. I don’t want my pictures in the magazines, that’s just a price to pay.” I whisper quietly to myself.

The driver soon pulled over and I got out. The building where I would be living in was made of bricks and it looked a bit run down but I didn’t care as long as I had a place to stay and a bed to sleep on I now happy, no matter what the building looked like. I walked through the door and I went to get my key, and only a few minutes later I was in my very own apartment. The walls were the same as the outside of the building but maybe they were a little bit clearer than the bricks outside. In one corn of the room there was a black wooden bench, and there was a fridge, oven, microwave, and tap. There was also a few empty cubits hanging on the wall. The rest of the room was empty, a part from the dust on the floor and even though I was planning of clearing the place I wasn’t going to fill the empty place. I had brought my guitar and one huge suitcase with me which was filled with everything I owned, I had never had a lot of money and I didn’t mind that, as long as I had what I need I would be fine. I had saved up money ever since I was a child so I could make my dreams come true. I looked around the room there was two doors I guess that one door lead to the bathroom while the other lead to the bedroom. I opened the first door and it was the bathroom, which needed a very good clean before any human could use it again. I closed the door and then opened the second door, it was the bedroom, and once again the room was in need of a good clear. The only object in the room was a double bed with a plain old mattress, there was another door in the bedroom which of the wardrobe which only had rusty old coat hangers in it.

I walked out to the empty front room again and looked around once again and thought to myself “this place looks better than I thought it would.” I walked over to my suitcase and got down to my knee so I could open it. It was so late so I pulled out a pillow and my blanket so I could make a bed on the floor for the night or how long it took to clear this apartment. I slept and as I didn’t I thought about all the amazing things I had already done that day in New York and all the wonderful things I could do, and it was all waiting for me. My dream was on its way to becoming a reality.

One Month Later
I had been in New York for a month and I had already started playing small shows at any bars and night clubs which would let me perform. Before I had gone to New York I had organised a group of friends (who I know from New York) to play back up for me. A good friend of mine named Stephanie started to take the role of my manager, she booked all my performances and she start to send my demo out to people. She was good at all the organising things unlike me, I was best at performing, Steph even started putting my music on the internet and all of a sudden I started to get popular. Hundreds would come to my performances and people from everywhere were trying to book me. I could not believe this, but it was happening, my singing career started to look like it had a future. Steph and I found a recording studio which we hired out with the money I had from all my performances and I start putting new music on the internet for people to listen to. The band which played with me joined Stephanie and me in the studio so I could have backing. We worked nonstop hours on trying to get new music put together, also Stephanie and the band moved into my apartment with me, and soon enough the empty front room I said I would never fill was filled with guitars, a piano, drum kit, and an office area for Stephanie. During the night fold out mattresses where set up all around the instruments and we all took in turns of sleeping on the only bed in the apartment, which was alright because I didn’t mind sleeping on the ground, but Stephanie did, and so did some of the band members.

There were six of us living in the apartment, there was Johnny who played drums, he was one of the messiest guys around, but he was amazing on the drums and he always enjoyed coming up with new beats to add to the music. Max, who preferred to be called God of the Bass, was the bassist in the band, but we never called him God of the Bass. Max was one of the nicest and funniest guys around but he would always fight Steph for the bed. The two guitarists Mel and Richard were brother and sister and they were both geniuses on guitar, even though they were great friends they would stage a lot of fights about once again who would get the bed, who’s turn was it to go shopping for the groceries, who was going to do the dishes? Everyone in the band had something weird and quirky about them so Mel and Richard’s arguments weren’t that odd. The other two living in the apartment were Steph and me. When the others first came to move in the owner of the building wouldn’t allow it, especially since we were planning on practising in the room, and the owner was concerned that we would drive away the other people in the building, so we made a deal with him. We agree to pay triple and we would try to sound proof the room to the best of our abilities, and surprisingly he let them all live in my apartment. The band and I started to play more gigs and soon enough people around the country were booking us, and because we needed the money, so we left the apartment and went on the road in a van that Stephanie managed to get at a good piece for. Another one of my dreams was on its way to becoming trust, to travel around America.

We first performed all around New York, then we head off to New Jersey, we went to California, Delaware, Washington, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Vermont and many more, until we found ourselves back in New Jersey again. A record company then started contacting Stephanie about wanting to sign the band and I, and once one record company offered to sign with us, another did and then another, then another, then another, until we had all these record companies wanting us. We found it hard to believe, it was my dream but I never actually thought that it would happen. By this time I had been in America for a little over three years because when the band and I toured we did it for two and a half years. When we finally decided on a record company to go with we still played a few more shows in New Jersey before we when back to New York to start working with the record label. The final shows in New Jersey were like a celebration and for some reason the fans we had made along the way had heard about the record company and came to the shows to say congratulations to us. We were so excited and happy and one night after the final concert in New Jersey something made us really happy.

A group of fans had just left the backstage room where we were, and we were about to go when four guys walked into the room. At that point I spitted out the water I was drinking onto Max because I straight away realised who they were. My Chemical Romance was stand in the door way of the backstage room. I couldn’t believe it, my idols had just watched the band and I perform. “Hi” Frank said “I’m glad I wasn’t standing near you when we came in.” My band all laughed at Max and me but I didn’t, I was still trying to work out how this was possible. “So I’m Frank, this is Ray, Mikey, and Gerard.” Stephanie was the one to speak first. She stepped forward and said “I am the bands manage Stephanie” she then shook all the band members hand and then she introduced us. “This is Johnny our drum player.” Johnny stepped forward and shook all the ledges hands, and then Stephanie move on to the rest of the band, as she introduced Mel, Richard, and Max they all stepped forward and shook the guys’ hands. I was the last one she introduced, “and this shy one is Dreamer our lead singer.” I couldn’t move, I just stood there attempting to blink, but I couldn’t even do that. It was Gerard who slowly approached me first. “You are very talented, we all came back here to see you because we here about you signing to a record label and we just wanted to say congratulations.”
“Th… thank… y… you.” I managed to stutter out.
“She speaks” Frank said jokingly.

The dream ended there, I know it’s long but it really was a great dream, but it kind of felt like it finished half way through the story line. Like it was a play which had an intermission, is that it is the time I am wake today the intermission and will the story continue tonight? I hope so I want to know what happens next with the band meeting My Chemical Romance and how will the band do with the record company? I guess I will have to wait for my answer.
