Rock music is amazing and I have been drawn to it since I was a little girl, and it has always been my dream to be a rock singer, in the alterative or metal rock scene. When I tell people that I want to follow in the footsteps of singers like Gerard Way, Steven Tyler, and as on they stare at me for a minute and then they start to laugh, it’s because I don’t look the part, first of all I am a girl and I am too well mannered. My friends say to me “look Dreamer, all the great rockers lose themselves in their performances and in the audience. They scream, throw and break things, they swear, and sometimes they become angry, and Dreamer that isn’t ya. We all love ya but Dreamer there is no way you can be a rocker, ya too much of a sweetheart.” Now when they say things like this I do get really mad, but I don’t let them see that, I don’t understand why a so called “sweetheart” can’t be a rocker. I love rock music and I lose myself in the music and the performance all the time, and just because I believe saying please and thank you is the proper thing to do, that means I can’t be a rocker? Maybe they believe I can’t be a rocker because I can’t swear, I try to use those bad words that so many people use, but I just can’t and I try really hard, and all I get is nothing, but not all rockers need to swear, right? I really want to be a rocker, it truly is my biggest dream and it is one of the reasons why everyone calls me Dreamer. This major dream of mine doesn’t have to be impossible just because some people say so, I think I just need to prove them wrong, and I am going to have fun doing it. I am Dreamer and I am promising that I will go after all my dreams.
