What MCR has done for my life.

Well everyone, I myself have been an MCR fan for as long as I knew what music was. People around town know me as "Dom that loves MCR" and it has recently leaked into my life in a way I never thought possible. I am an artist and musician, I am a senior at my high school and am one of 6 students in my AP art class, right before christmas 2012 we all drew from a hat and picked our "secret santas" then over the holiday break we all made that person a piece of work and then traded them yesterday when we all returned to school. A very talented artist named Alex gave me the piece pictured in this post and I almost broke into tears when I removed the paper, she knew My Chem is my favorite band but had no idea the impact they had made on me through my life. I was speechless, all the others watched me fight back tears as I examined the piece and I hugged Alex as hard as I could to thank her. She just laughed at how overwhelmed I was because im typically very reserved at school. That day I brought the piece home, framed it nicely, and hung it in my studio where it inspires me to persevere every time I look at it. Now with the piece hanging in the area where I do everything creative it has given me and my band "The Few" renewed faith in our mission. Because of MCR's incredible story of starting out so small in Jersey we maintain high spirit that we will do the same and unite all of those who need something like what we have in their lives. The music we create brings together those kids that are misunderstood or dont have the best home lives or get bullied at school and we give them a place where they belong. And with MCR being such a huge influence on myself and the band we have no doubt that we are doing something to make this world a more positive place. The local scene in our home town of St. Louis Missouri has welcomed us and our mission with open arms as more people realize that not many bands want to do what were doing and its an incredibly rewarding feeling, but it must not even compare to what the members of MCR feel when they look at their history. The lives theyve changed and impacted is similar to what I feel we were put on this planet to do and nothing is going to stop us because we are "The Few" who stand up to be individuals and be originals. But I must say, without finding MCR when I was young, I might not be who I am now, and I might now be where I am now, so I personally thank you, for giving me the inspiration to try and make this world a better place through music. Thank you My Chemical Romance.
