Cyanide Sunshine said, "It's a good thing you two came when you did, we have the chugger, but not enough batteries!" he was talking to Freedom Runner and Dynamite Dagger, who had just rolled up on their bike.
"But we don't have any batteries, we are gonna have to talk about this!"
"Nothing to talk about, we wait, while you go to the diner and pick up some batteries, either that or you go all the way into Battery City, and, nobody wants to wait that long."
Detonator Angel: "They take the car, run by the diner, it's easy in- easy out!"
Freedom Runner, "Easy dead!"
Detonator Angel: "Easier than getting caught and Perfected!"
Cyanide Sunshine: "I wonder what it's like to be controlled, you know, Perfected"
Freedom Runner: "I don't want to speculate about that, it's getting late"
The sun dopped like a dinosaur eye in the dull yellow haze, to them, the haze was normal, the had no memory of the Time Before Everything Went Wrong, a generation born to waste, the past an unreachable dream. They took off in a dustcloud. Cyanide lead them up the hill to the ridge where they could see East Base, where they had already turned the lights on.
Meanwhile.., Seelen Korse was sweating with anticipation, they had Adrenaline Rose captive, in room 101.
A Zone-runner who was foolish enough to think she, could out-run our ‘crows! He keyd the door with his
private ID card.
The room was empty! There were the straps on the table, but where a human body should have occupied,
there was nothing, Seelen looked every-way but up.
"You can hide but I can find you" he giggled. A shadow crossed the light, he looked up.
Then she fell on him like a vengeful tarantula!
Helmut Korse was in his motel room, watching "Fight Night" and he got a call,
"Sheesh, work and more work, can't let me have a life or what?" he grumbled. "Korse here!", he said into the receiver, "what? well why don't I hear the alarm then?" a pause while he listened, "Don't be an idiot, sound the alarm and follow procedure, I am on my way!" he hung up.
And as the alarm siren began to sing, Dynamite Dagger, Cyanide Sunshine, and Mischevious Flame (who's name is really hard to spell, sorry!)
were watching over the top of the ridge.
