Something I hate about my parents is that when I think something's really wrong, like with me or my dogs, my parents just want to wait things out and see if they get better on their own. The problem with that, is that THEY'RE not the ones feeling the pain.
I just saw my dog start limping, and he won't put any pressure on his left hind leg unless he needs to walk a little bit, but otherwise he just holds his leg up. I had a dog a long time ago that used to do the same thing, and she had heartworm. Now, I don't know if he has it considering we give them their heartworm pills every month, but I'm still worried. My parents don't want to take him to the vet. They want to wait it out. We have two dogs right now, (brothers, small) we used to tie them up on chains in the front yard so they wouldn't run away, but the slack on the chains was really long, so everytime they'd fight, the chains would get tangled up and eventually it got wrapped around our smaller dog's foot, and he started squealing the loudest I'd ever heard him squeal. We brought him inside, and instead of taking him to a vet right away, we made him suffer for 2 days I think with a broken leg. Seeing that happen tears at my heart, but what am I supposed to do?! My parents control everything. It's not like I can drive myself to the vet and pay for the appointment. That's why I get so worried!
Do any of you guys have similar problems like this?
