Yesterday, Driftless Pony Club came to Minneapolis to play and it was amazing!!! We were in a cafe, lucky me, my friend, and my uncle got a table, because as it got closer to 7:30 the place was extremely packed. But we were there earlier, so we saw when the band members early. I saw Sam come in and I turned to my friend and I was like "I just saw Sam!!!" and she's like "No you didn't, you're hallucinating." and I later saw Matt, and I was like "Matt's here too!!!" Finally she believed me when she saw Matt. Sam, Matt, and Jeff were casually out in the open talking to fans, but there was no sign of Craig. We pretty much assumed that if he came out he'd be bombarded with fans, so he stayed away until they went to play. As soon as people saw him, everyone cheered. Even when he waved or said a little thing, everyone cheered. Eventually he was like "I could say anything up here and you guys would cheer." and he said two things which I don't remember, but then he was like "Turkey Sandwich" and we all cheered. My uncle was like "how did he know my favorite sandwich?!" haha.
After they played like two songs, Craig started saying random words again. My uncle turned to me and being a smart-ass was like "I hope he says Turkey Sandwich again." and as soon as he said that, Craig said Turkey Sandwich. It was soooo funny. Anyways, the show was awesome, but then they went out back to take pictures, sign stuff, and sell merchandise. We were at the back of the line but eventually got to meet them and get a picture with them which is the picture on the right. (I just cut out me and my friend). My friend got a shirt which they all signed and Craig drew a little beard by his name. I got a CD which I wanted them to sign but I was too nervous and felt like we were taking up too much time because there were still people in line. So I'm just happy we got to see them, talk to them, and get a picture which is now my new computer background haha.
Did anybody else meet them on their tour or even in Minnesota?
