Lyn-Z and Gerard just tucked Bandit in bed. "You better get some sleep, baby. You're gonna have lots of fun with your friends tomorrow" Gerard smiled. "Dad, can I wear my elephant costume to the park tomorrow?" Lyn-Z looked at Gerard "But sweety" Lyn-Z said, "didn't your friends make fun of you for wearing that elephant costume?" Bandit looked at her and smiled "Yes, mama. Yes they did. Gerard sighed and smiled at Bandit "Okay, lil' lady. We'll talk about that tomorrow. Go to sleep now, sunshine. I love you".
Lyn-Z walked in the room and dimmed the lights. Gerard was sitting on the bed silently, thinking about what is to happen. She walked to him and sat beside him "Gerard, you know I support the Killjoys, what your fighting for, and all that. But what your doing is putting our family's lives in danger! You're putting Bandit in danger. Why do you have to go after Girl? Couldn't you just ask Kobra Kid, or Jet Star, or Fun Ghoul to do this for you? Why do you..." Lyn-Z started to weep. Gerard looked away for a moment cos' he didn't want Lyn-Z to see him crying too. Someone had to be strong in this moment. And he knew it had to be him. He cupped his hands on her face and kissed her for a while "Lyn-Z" Gerard whispered, "Girl is our only hope. She's EVERYONE's only hope. She's going to be the one to bring down BL/ind. Now, I don't know how long that'll take, but... Trust me baby. Just trust me." Lyn-Z wiped her tears with her sleeve and nodded.
After spending the night together, Gerard woke up around 12:00at night. Lyn-Z saw him and remained silent. They both looked at each other for a really long while, then he left.
