Remembrance Sunday

It doesn't matter if you support the war, a war, the wars, it doesn't matter if you don't, what matters is that you remember the men and women out there that have lost their lives fighting to defend the rights and freedoms that most take so blatantly for granted. Remember those who are risking their lives daily to keep the world 'free' for the millions in it. We all have opinions about the choices made by our governments but don't blame the men and women who were/are out there on the front line doing a job, they are people at the end of the day just like you and me. If it hadn't been for the world wars that we have seen come and go, the world would not be as it is now no matter what you think about it love it or loathe it, the world would be a completely different place to what you see now. All I ask is that you remember the people...the fallen, the wounded, the retired, the active...your cousin, your brother, your grandfather, your great grandfather, your sister...those that fight to live another day.

Remember where you came from and who got you there!

M.I.A Avenged Sevenfold

Staring at the carnage, praying that the sun would never rise.
Living another day in disguise.
These feelings can't be right, lend me your courage to stand up and fight, on tonight.

Stand up and fight

The fighting rages on and on, to challenge me you must be strong.
I walk your land but don't belong, two million soldiers can't be wrong

It's no fun but I've been here before
I'm far from home and I'm fighting your war.
(Not the way I pictured this, I wanted better things)
Some are scared others killing for fun, I shot a mother right in front of her son.
(Take this from my consciousness, and please erase my dreams)

Fight for honor, fight for your life
Pray to God that our side is right.
Even though we won, I still may lose
Until I make it home to you
I see our mothers filled with tears,
grew up so fast where did those years go?
Memories won't let you cry,
unless I don't return tonight

So many soldiers on the other side, I take their lives so they can't take mine.
(Scared to make it out alive now murder's all I know.)
Nobody tells me all the reasons for here. I have my weapons so there's nothing to fear.
(Another day, another life, but nothing real to show for)

Fight for honor, fight for your life
Pray to god that our side is right
Even though we won, I still may lose
Until I make it home to you
I see our mothers filled with tears,
grew up so fast where did those years go?
Memories won't let you cry,
unless I don't return tonight

Staring at the carnage, praying that the sun would never rise.
Living another day in disguise.
These feelings can't be right, lend me your courage to stand up and fight.

Watching the death toll rise wondering how I'm alive.
Stranger's blood on my hands, I've shot all I can
There are no silent nights, watching your brothers all die
To destroy all their plans with no thought of me
No thought of me, no thought of me

Walk the city lonely
Memories that haunt are passing by
A murderer walks your streets tonight
Forgive me for my crimes;don't forget that I was so young
Fought so scared in the name of God and Country

DOES IT? Catherine Edgar

Now I am here, the bombs have all dropped
The guns are still shooting but the flashes have stopped
But who’s gonna know that my life has just gone
Away with the enemy, what I trained for all along
I watch as,
The snipers they aim their guns are reloaded
My death is on which my government voted
You have to be brave and go where we say
So that their country is free for today
I must be strong and fight for their death
Doesn’t matter how I do it, take their last breath
Save the children and free all the daughters
Hide all their eyes from imminent slaughters
Away from the challengers, out of their midst
Defiant to the end I’ll fight with my fist
Although it is foreign this land is not mine
My contract on which is what I did sign
Though I am gone my death I have strived
In hope that at least, they can survive
For though I’m a soldier a warrior of peace
Does it matter in the end, if its I that does cease….

i would give nothing but respect to the soldiers, but war is sick. human beings are capable of so much horror. innocent people shouldnt have to die needlessly xxx
