We sat in the sound studio just playing with different sounds for hours. Ha we were supposed to be writing a song about summer. Schools idea of fun; wonder week. More like wonder why your still at school week.
“Hey hows about this?” said harmony taking jacks base, he looked halfway between shock and fear; he never lets people touch his “baby” but me and harmony ignore him.
Harmy played a really cool base line on it and handed it back.
“cool sounds good” I said playing a riff on the guitar that went with it.
“kay guys can we go through doomsday again cause im still not getting what to do for this bit” said kane from the corner.
“yup whatever we got hours before they let us out” I said.
We started playing we were really getting into it.
“they say the noose gets tighter as you close your eyes, you hear the fatcats laughter on the inside lies” sang harmy.
As we were about halfway through someone walked in, they barely made a sound it was probably just Jason the kid from the collage that was meant to be in charge today.
When we’d finished we went straight into we’ve been there. me and harmy got pretty emotional when we sang it because it meant a lot to us. I know I was holding back tears and I didn’t look at harmy because I already knew she would be the same.
We finished the song and the person who had come in started to clap. Harmy and kane both jumped up in surprise. I laughed at the shock on their faces and jack just kind of stared at whoever had come in as if they were someone famouse. I didn’t look up I just kept playing stuff on my guitar and laughing.
“is that stuff your own?” said the man he had a really strong American accent; new jersey. I turned around and stopped playing. I was sat in front of Gerard way. I wasn’t sure wether to think fuck I just sang and played guitar in front of Gee or omg its gee and hes at my school. I started smiling and laughing again because all I could think of was “omg its Gerard way, so what I have blue hair I live in trees and there is hobo in my pants and im from the wanted” the famouse quote of harmony.
“um yeah that’s ours” said jack. How was he even coping with this?
“its really good”
“ummmmm thanks” said jack. Then harmony turned around.
“oh hi gee why you in England?” She looked straight past him and then cracked up.
“whats so funny?” said everyone but me.
“omg its Gerard way, so what I have blue hair, I live in trees, theres a hobo in my pants and guess what im from the wanted. Did I mention that pigs don’t fly?” she said almost in tears. I was laughing so hard I nearly fell off my seat. When we had finished pissing ourselves we looked up to see everyone staring at us.
“okay when you’ve quite finished could one of you please explain who this man is and why he is here?!” I looked up to see mr D standing in the doorway tapping his foot and looking very angry.
I turned to jack and he looked at harm, she looked at kane, “it wasn’t me I was sworn to secrecy oh okay it was ummmmmmmmm I don’t know!” said kane we all looked at him,
“so you aren’t talking about why there is coke inside the piano and mentos inside your guitars because I promise that was david” he said looking around.
We all looked at him like wtf, “ohhhhh okay that was me I was gonna blow up your office sir.” He smirked then we all got it and laughed everyone accept gee and mr D.
“kane! I didn’t ask that.” He said.
“oh oops” he said looking down.
“okay mr D let me explain” started harmy, “the man in front of you is a man called Mr. gerado Arthur way and he is in a band, ummmm he was just helping us with our song about summer.
Gerard opened his mouth to talk but harmony gave him a look which said not that song a song we haven’t written so please please pretty please keep it zipped.
“um yeah and so far its really good, like really really really good, so good that we are keeping it secret until its finished so as not to ruin the surprise”
“well Mr. way I expect you to help every group not just this one?”
“oh don’t worry about it I'm helping them al out theyre gonna need it with a subject like summer”
Mr D definatly looked annoyed but passed the matter aside and left.
As the door closed i heard harmony let out an exagerated sigh of relief.
