First Blog - Probably Last Too
So yeah, first blog, probably won't get read by anyone, but oh well. Makes my page look pretty. And everyone knows that looks are what matter. Unfortunatly. Not real good at the whole blog thing. Kinda better at talking in person, even thats hard. I write poems, I suppose thats what you'd call them, although according to the stereotype a lot of "emo's" do. So no real suprises. I decided to post one of my more recent ones, probably the most serious attempt at it I've made, and the only one properly recorded on paper. I called it Red Rain, but I don't really like the title, just the best I could think of at the time. I don't know if its any good, the only person who has read it is my girlfriend, she liked it, kinda, she thought I wrote it as a break-up letter. Not the case. but yeah, she's kinda biased. So I'm hoping someone will read it, and comment, hopefully positivly, but if it sucks, honesty is good. I don't want to be ignorant. So yeah, that's all I got for now. Poem is below, as you can see.
As the blood fades away.
Will you remain and stay.
To watch the pool.
Where my body once lay.
The chalk line blown with the wind.
Like my life, as the choir sings.
Does it hurt to know it was you?
Does it sting to know there’s nothing to do?
Now that I’m gone.
Now that you’re here.
In the red, red, rain.
Drenched in it, suffer the pain.
Because you did this, you got under my skin.
I let you in.
But now I’m gone.
You killed me.
With your heart as sharp as blades.
I tried to understand.
But now my blood fades.
Washed down the street.
My drying, crimson.
Flowed to the brim, whilst I lay dying.
And you stood crying.
You gave me life.
But only one to lose.
It’s the one thing you can’t win.
Just wait until you lose yours, I’ll wait.
To greet you.
With heavenly applause.
Now I’m gone get up.
Off the ground.
Wipe off the dust.
Get off all fours.
Stand so tall.
It’s up to you alone now.
It’s up to you, to take them all.
So watch the spot where I once lay.
My bodies gone.
Night has turned to day.
