Oh fuck yeah, guess who just saw "The Runaways" ?! This gal.
Seriously, this movie was so kickass. When I saw the trailer for this movie I was like, "Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart playing roles of the two most influential girls of the 70s? Just no." which is why I didn't go see it when it came out a year ago. But let's get this straight, I was so wrong because they fucking rocked it.
Especially K-Stew. She's not as bad in Twilight as everyone says she is. It's just the concept that's stupid (fucking vampires)...don't blame the actors or in this case, actress. If any, though, she definitely redeemed herself in The Runaways. Anyways, Joan Jett was the queen of the 70s and of course, Miss Currie as well (but let's be honest...who doesn't give a damn about their bad reputation? joan. that's who).
My favorite scene just had to be the tub scene. It's fucking creepy and to be quite frank, I don't get it. But I love it regardless. K is in the tub smoking a cig, reciting lyrics to "Love is Pain" which I suppose must have happened in Joan's life. She sings "And I'll do it again" and sinks into the tub. But it wasn't the fact that I was hearing the words "fuck" and "pussy" straight from Isbella Swan herself, but the fact that I was seeing Dakota Fanning in stripper clothes, smoking cigs, snorting cocaine, and saying "filthy pussy" to an innocent woman. Man, what a role! None the less, I thought she did a fantastic job of playing Cherie Currie.

But other than that, summer is rockin the heat. Killjoys are supposed to deal with that crap, right? We live in the desert for fucks sake.
