Sleep problems and parents -_-

I, like so many others in this world, have troubles sleeping. Alot. There are times when I don't sleep for days. It's not like I don't want to sleep, believe me I totally do, but I just can't most nights. When my parents finally noticed these problems, their remedy was to send me to bed at 9 p.m. How the hell will that help me sleep? Then, they made me take a sleep supplement, Melatonin, which has no effect on me. Next, they try to forbid coffee. That's like forbidding me to breathe or speak. Caffeine and sugar, just to be clear, actually have an opposite effect on me. They actually make me tired, so how would that help? I've been to the doctor and they just prescribed me more Melatonin. Any of you beautiful souls have any other possible remedies? I love you all! <3 ~ B
