Total Desolation Part 41

I stared into the room I had just discovered. A figure stood with his back to me as 2 others stared at me, or at least I had to think they were staring at me. Each of the figures wore a black cloak that hid their faces from me. The figures were tall and looked as if they were about to pounce if I so much as blinked.
“Oh, uhh, I’m sorry, I thought...this place...was abandoned.” I manage to stutter out, making me seem harmless when in reality I was thinking through a million scenarios.
The two figures that were facing me seemed to lurch forward as one towards me. I flinched, hoping to seem untrained and that I just carried the knife around for protection even though I didn’t know how to use it.
“Stop, leave her.” The figure that was facing away turned around to scrutinize me. I tried to look lost cause I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I saw his head cock to the side as he watched me and then he lowered his hood, revealing probably the hottest guy I had ever seen in my life.
His straightened hair was black and had that great long guy hair that I found so attractive, it fell just over his gray eyes. His smile was the most charming I’d ever seen and showed off his perfectly straight, white teeth.
I seemed to melt all on my own as a smile spread across my face, he was beautiful, I couldn’t think up a better looking guy like this in my entire life.
“Where have you come from?” The guy asked in a very muscular voice. He was the perfect man, I had never wanted someone to take off their shirt more in my life.
“The forest, I got lost. When I found this place I was immediately hopeful. I knocked but no one answered so I figured the place was abandoned and let myself in.”
The guys face seemed unmoved as he responded, “And who might you be? Are you new to death?”
I cringed, I wasn’t expecting it to be stated so bluntly. “I’m Crystal. And you are?”
“Aagneya.”
“That’s a different kind of name.”
“Do you know what it means?”
I shook my head, no.
“It means the male child of flames.” He smiled and laughed.
I looked at him, a bit confused as to how someone so hot could be someone so powerful and evil.
“Do you know what Crystal means?”
“No.”
“It means crystal, a real gem, a unique find, one like no other. Why don’t you stay with us for dinner. You’re here anyway.”
I nodded, unsure as what else I could do, this guy confused me in so many ways I couldn’t understand.
“Come, join me and we will find you something to wear and clean you up from your trek thru the forest.”
Again I nodded, hoping I seemed oblivious to the world when I had a million thoughts rushing thru my head waiting for their turn to be thought about, each new thought causing a million more.
Aagneya stepped in front of me and I was surprised to find him towering a head above me. Sure he looked tall but I didn’t expect him to me that much taller.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the other two cloaked figures and back thru the door I had come from. Aagneya led me through the twisting, winding halls until we came to another heavily leaded door.
Aagneya pushed the heavy door open revealing a large room. The walls were gray brick like the rest of the place but this room seemed more taken care of. There was a large bed in the corner of the room, covered in black sheets. There was another door on the other side of the room that Aagneya took me to.
He threw open the door and I was surprised to see a large wardrobe, of course everything was in various shades of blacks and grays but black was my favorite color so who cares. Aagneya let go of my hand and went picking thru the clothes in the closet. He picked out a pair of black skinny jeans that he thought would fit me and a black t shirt.
He handed them to me and left me in the closet, closing the door behind me. I quickly changed and walked out to him, not wanting to be left in a bad position for too long. He whistled when I emerged and I rolled my eyes.
“You look hot in my clothing!”
I rolled my eyes again. “It happens.”
“Too bad I have to cover you up again.”
“What do you mean?”
Aagneya went back to the closet, when he came back he had another long black robe.
“Put this on.” He instructed me.
I put the long robe on over my clothes and was surprised to find that it wasn’t overly huge on me, though a bit long. Aagneya pulled the hood up over my head for me and my face was instantly hidden, I was surprised that it stayed in a way that I could see and yet no one would be able to see me.
“Why do I have to wear this?” I asked
“Do you want to be attacked by Reapers?”
“What are Reapers?” I more or less already knew the answer to my question but I was hoping for more information.
“You saw the other two I was with earlier. They want to attack anything that moves anymore. I’ve been changing their ways so that they weren’t randomly attacking villages the way that they were when I showed up here.”
“When did you show up here?”
“19 years ago today, we’re ‘celebrating’ tonight. 19 years of life, 19 years of death.” He said with a forced smile on his face. “But of course it’s always nice to get visitors.” He said to me with a wink.
I smiled. “What will they do if they find out I’m not one of them? And how come they don’t attack you?”
“I don’t know, I guess I just have a way with them, as if I’m a part of them. But if they found out you weren’t a Reaper they would probably kill you, take your soul, and torment you.”
I allowed myself to shutter at the sound of that even though I thought it sounded interesting.
“Come, let us see how the preparations are coming. Aagneya pulled up his own hood and led me out of the room.
We wandered down several halls until any other person in the world would be lost but I continued to maintain a cognitive map of where we were going and where we came from.
We finally emerged in a large room with a long table set with thousands of plates. On one end there was a great chair that seemed more like a thrown than anything else. Aagneya muttered something under his breath that I didn't quite understand and soon there was another cloaked figure coming in with another chair, it was similar to the one on the end but not quite as big, but it was an improvement compared to all the other chairs.
A loud bell rang out, announcing that it was 10 o'clock PM. I was surprised at the time but didn't say anything. Who cares what they think happened to me, surely they wouldn't find me anyway. They had no way of knowing how far into the forest I had gone or in what direction, even if they came to this place they wouldn't enter anyway.

And there's part 41! Hope you enjoyed! Any thoughts on what going to happen? Thoughts on Aagneya? Questions? Leave me comments please! I love to read them!

Keep living, I'll keep writing, you keep reading!
