Total Desolation Part 37

I emerged from the other side of the mirror and was blasted with bright white light. I squinted my eyes against the light, in hopes of being able to see something, if anything.
Slowly the light subsided and I could somewhat see, I had to squint slightly.
“Welcome to my dominion.” A soothing voice said. I squinted further into the light and started to see a figure. “Oh sorry my dear, let me turn down the light.” I vaguely saw the figure motion with her hands and then the light subsided.
I was standing in a white room, literally everything, was white. There was a woman sitting in a large royal looking chair, white of course. She was very pale, if Dawn was white then this woman was a ghost, it didn’t get any whiter than that, she seemed translucent against the white walls. She had long white hair that hung loose and ended around mid-chest.
“I am Astrid, the fair and beautiful Goddess of The Black Parade. I am just and pure, and I know all that is meant to be known.”
“Then why am I here?”
“As you may have been told, you are The Prophet. I wish to share with you my knowledge of your mission.”
“I’m still not sure that I am this so called Prophet.”
“You are, whether you want to be or not.”
“Whatever, so what’s this so called mission? I feel like I never died cause I’m still fighting evil. Only difference is my friends aren’t here.”
“You must launch an attack on the Reapers, mainly their leader, Aagneya, and bring joy back to The Black Parade, this is supposed to be a better place than life, but it is worse in these challenging times. People dare not to leave their ashened homes for fear of the Reapers and Aagneya.”
“Some name.” I commented.
“His name is fitting, Aagneya, the male child of flames.”
My eyes opened wide for a moment then calmed back down.
“Yes,” She said in comment to my eyes “this is why you must stop him. He won’t stop until everyone devotes themselves to him. Most have given in, few stand up for themselves. But once they stand up to him they become his most loyal servants, for he abuses them so that all they know is to do his every bidding.”
“That’s horrible. But how am I supposed to be any different? Why don’t you do this? You already know all there is to know.”
“I am not The Prophet, only The Prophet has the powers to win this ongoing battle. When you were born, you became The Prophet, it’s in your genes, your blood, your being, your soul.” I flinched at the word soul, it meant so much more to me than it once had. I took my soul much more seriously once I began soul binding, so if my soul said I was The Prophet, then I must be. But I must take a better look at it, I would begin with the books marking my every life decision. “Will you accept this position as The Prophet and stand up against Aagneya?” There was a look of hopefulness on her face.
“Of course.”
Astrid’s face turned to one of joy. “Thank you Crys...”
I cut her off. “Acidic Venom.”
“Acidic Venom, you truly are a good soul.”
I nodded in response.
“Use the library of The Prophet to the best of your abilities in time for your first meeting of Aagneya. And a word to you, the house is yours, you can enter anywhere, few can enter at all. It’s the house of The Prophet, meant to aid in the battle of Reapers. Watch for the secrets within, for only you can answer them.”
“Ok.” I said, unsure. So the house that can’t be touched is mine huh? Interesting.
Dawn led me back to the mirror we originally came from and we went back to the village and headed back to my newly acquired home. Immediately after entering I fled for the library in search of information.
I threw open the doors of the library and gasped in surprise.
