Total Desolation Part 35

“This is the only remaining building that remains unharmed by the Reapers.”
“The Reapers?”
“Yes, the Reapers. They come and go from life and death. They overtook The Black Parade, they burned our buildings and have the citizens scared.”
“But how am I to stop this?” I was starting to believe I was The Prophet with the library full of my life, past, present, and future.
“That’s for you to figure out. The book stating how you take over and win The Black Parade back remains empty. We just know what you look like at one part of the process. We don’t know why but you’re wearing that long black dress, the one that you saw in the foyer, and the one there.” She said as she pointed at the image of me in the sexy black dress.
“I’m not so sure as to if that happens or not. I’m not much of a dress wearer, especially not for sexy dresses like those.”
“We’re unsure but the image of you in that dress has brought hope to The Black Parade for 18 years. We knew you were The Prophet because you were born at the very same time as the Reapers went rouge.”
“Wait a minute, how come this building remains? How come the Reapers didn’t burn it down?”
“This building and the land that surrounds it is enchanted. Only the people with true soul’s can enter this area.”
“A true soul? What's that?”
“It’s a person that has one purpose in life, to better other’s lives. They may think that they have another purpose in life but ultimately their purpose is to better the lives of other people. They may not know it though but if they can step onto this land they will know.”
“Is there any other way to get in?”
“Well if you were to be enchanted with purity then you could most likely pass.”
“How did I manage to get thru when I had a soul binding enchantment on me that brought evil to me?”
“I don’t know. Are you still able to bind souls?”
“I don’t know, I haven’t tried since I’m here.”
“Try it on me.”
Without telling her I would I let my soul out to find hers. I found it quickly and watched myself thru her eyes. I forced my own body to do something normal that wouldn’t give me away, I brushed my hair back out of my eyes. At the same time I made Dawn do the same. It was as if we were playing the mirror game that we used to play in grade school. Except this was perfectly the same. I did a few random little things just because I could and then let her go and returned to my own body.
“I guess that means you still can. But if you were evil you wouldn’t have been able to come in here.”
I shrugged at her response.
We walked out of the library and back into the foyer. Dawn had decided that I should rest because I had a big day tomorrow, I didn’t know what was happening but I didn’t ask either.
Dawn lead me up the stairs to a room. She told me that it was my room and only I could get in unless I brought them in and left before I even opened the door.
Unsure of what my room would look like I opened the door slowly. There was no light coming from the windows because the sun had gone down and left the town in black darkness. I let my door swing open and I felt around the wall until I found the light switch. A chandelier lit up the room and sent light glittering across the room. I was surprised to find the room in a fashion that I liked. The walls were a dark red with everything trimmed in black. There was a big comfortable looking bed in the corner of the room and an old historical looking desk that I simply loved in front of a giant bay window overlooking the forest. I even had a balcony that led out to look out over the town. There was also another door in my room. The walls were covered in bookshelves packed full of books of every kind, romance, fiction, realistic fiction, adventure, disaster, witchcraft, spell books, every book appealed to me, I wanted to read them all.
I walked over to the mystery door and opened it wide. I found tons of clothing, dresses, jeans, pants, shirts, tank tops, skirts, hoodies, jackets, boots, sneakers, heels, hats, jewelry of all sorts, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, every possible thing I could ever want to wear was in that closet.
I found yet another door close to the one that opened the closet and found my own bathroom. It had a large tub and a shower too. I had officially fallen in love with my room.
I walked out and back into the main room and sat on my bed. I stared at a bookshelf and soon found myself browsing thru spellbooks. I picked one at random and lay down in bed. I opened the book and began to read, lost in the world of witches and spells and potions.
