i woke up to the sun streaming across my face. my eyes fluttered open and everything that had happened these past two weeks came flooding back to me. me, being in the desert alone, saving the the gang and now being back home. home. just thinking about it made me smile. i sat up and looked at the clock. august 12th. my birthday. i sighed. thank god no one knew about it. just another thing of the past, ive spent years trying to forget. i hopped outta bed, still in my jammies and walked down the hall. i could hear hushed voice talking quickly and i saw the gang surrounding one of the tables. i cleared my throat and walked in the room.
'hey,' i said, 'whats up?'
toxic art snapped her head up and smiled nervously. 'oh nothing at all.' and ran back into the kitchen before i could say another word.
'whats up with her?' i asked, 'nothing, nothing's wrong' lithium said with a smile, 'its just her being her clearly messed up self.'
i laughed. 'so whats for breakfast?'
'no time for breakfast' venom death said as she jogged into the room. 'you me lithium, acidic wolf, bulletproof princess and tiger lily have to go down to zone 4. a gang down there needs help with a drac problem. they wanna blow up one of their smaller facilities.'
'oh sure, let's go. just give ten of minutes to get ready.'
'be down in five, we're already late!' tiger lily said forcefully. 'sure mom,' i said with an evil grin.
i turned to walk out of the room when me and fun ghoul crashed into each other, wich made him spill his coffee on me. 'oh god im so sorry' he looked up me, a frantic look in his eyes, 'im sorry,' he whispered, then walked quickly out of the room.
'whats eating him?' i asked
'he still feels horrible for what happened. for what you were put through.' major hydrogen said sadly.
'he shouldnt feel bad. its party's fault for thinking for a second that ghoul could actually be responsible for something.'
'what are you all talking about'? party asked while walking into the room to get some coffee.
'oh nothing, were just talking about your serious stupidity' i said with a smirk.
'why you little-'
'COME ON ACID, WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE!'
'oh shut up!' i screamed back at tiger lily. i rolled me eyes and ran into my room, and got my ripped black jeans, my yellow shirt that had a skull on it and my black converse out and laced up.
'okay you got your guns? your kinves? your grenades and your radios in case something happens?' jet-star said worridly. 'yes dad' we all said laughing, 'we're good'
'okay, see you at sundown' kobra kid said. 'dont be late!' he said with a wink towards me.
we were getting into the trans am when we heard someone screaming from behind us. 'hey wait up!' it was adam. 'im coming with you guys.'
'you sure?' i asked, 'you couldnt even come to rescue me are you sure your up to this?'
'wow acid,' he said with a smile 'im touchd that you cared so much'
i rolled my eyes, clearly embarassed. 'just get in' i grumbled.

we'd been in the car for a couple of hours and i always found myself looking over at adam. i couldnt help it.
finaly, lithium noticed and whispered in a singsong voice into my ear 'someones got a boyfriend'
'shut up' i hissed. it was impossible, having a relationship with him out here. no way. no matter how much i wanted it too, it couldnt happen.
the car slwly pulled to a stop, 'we're here' bulletproof princess announced
i got out and looked around.
'come on, headquateres is over here,' venom death said, pointing to a huge, abandoned house.
we walked in, to what seemed to be a dark room but i could make out shapes of people.
a light switch flicked on.
'SUPRISE!' everyone shouted. i looked around in surprise. party, kobra, rosebudd and everyone were there. 'what the hell?'
'its your surprise party!' major hydrogen said happily.
'but.. how did you guys even find out?' i asked, confused. 'it was on a wanted poster' party said with a laugh.
'i hate you all!' i said,
'come on, its time for presents and cake!' someone shouted.
everyone cleared out to go into the kitchen. but i grabbed fun ghoul before he could leave. 'dont be sorry, ghoul. it's over. im not mad.' he sighed with relief and hugged me. 'im still sorry,' he whispered back.
'come on' i said.

six hours later.
i was sitting on the roof of the diner, thinking about the party. it was the best i'd ever had. i was still so happy that they had been able to take one of the worst days of my life, and make something good of it.
'so, how'd you like the party?' i turned around in alarm, but it was only adam.
'it was amazing!' i said, suddenly out of breath. it was because he was standing there. whenever i looked at him now, my breath caught in my throat or stopped completely!
'im glad you liked it. we put a lot into that party you know.'
he walked foward, and smiled, inches from my face. 'happy birthday acid' he breathed into my face.
and then i couldnt take it. i took his hands in mine and put them on my waist then, i put mine around his neck and kissed him, slowly at first, then deeply. and that's how we stayed, wrapped in each others arms for the rest of the night.
