Reprieve!

2-2-2-2 hours to goooooo, I wanna be sedated. Seriously, I have two hours to finish and turn in this assignment on video game genres but I got distracted. Hello everyone. I've been away for a little while. Just wanted to know how all you lovelies were. So how is everyone? On an unrelated note, are there any tech savvies out there? I've been having this issue with my keyboard. I have a pretty new, custom built desktop pc only about 8 months old, and my wireless keyboard lags. I could type in "Welcome to the black parade" on my keyboard and nothing will appear on the screen for 10-20 seconds. Then 10-20 seconds later finally "welcome to the black parade" will appear onscreen. This problem only happens intermittently, maybe...1-2 times a day, but it's really annoying to me especially when I'm trying to write essays, and brother who plays League of Legends. Anyone know what the problem could be or possible solutions I can try?

Something about you?

Bear with me. I haven't thought this through too well. I don't know many of you, and I probably haven't seen any of you in real life. That doesn't matter. We're still here, over a year after the close of My Chemical Romance. That has to mean something, right? Don't we all share something in common? So I was wondering if you read this, if you'd be comfortable sharing.

What's something about you that no one would know just by looking at you?
And/or What's something you'd say to me if you passed by me on the street?

You wouldn't know it by just looking at me, but I'm kind of wild. I kick open doors and jump down stairs. I make funny sounds when no one's around just for the heck of it.

Gerard Way Show- The best night of my life

I never had the opportunity to see My Chemical Romance when they were around so seeing Gerard Way perform was probably the closest thing I'll ever get. While he wasn't MCR, he was Gerard Way, and can he put on a show! I went to see him at The Fillmore on October 12, and that was the best night of my life. I got there over an hour and half early, and the line was already around the block. It was amazing! There was a whole line of people, all wearing Gerard Way or My Chemical Romance shirts/jackets. At the corner of the block, there was a girl with a sign that said "Honk if you love Gerard Way" A few minutes past 7pm, we were let in after a quick pat-down search. This was my first time at the Fillmore. It was beautiful inside. We made our way to the dance floor, which was where a crowd was starting to form infront of the state. Chandeliers hung down from the ceiling, adding to the building's aged feel. On stage behind the drumset, there was a huge Lola poster.

A very warm hello to all of you (my first post)

I've been a member of this site for several months now, but have never posted myself. I would first like to say hello to you all. I've never felt so passionate about something as I have with My Chemical Romance. In my 22 years, I feel like I've learned something from the evolution of the band as well as all of you that I think I would have otherwise missed out on, so thank you! You've all got some interesting stories and perspectives, and I'm really glad I've had a chance to learn. I'm not sure how often I'll be posting on here, but I'm really glad a place like this exists.

On a different note, who's going to see Gerard Way in October? I've never had the chance to see MCR live, so this'll be my first time seeing Gerard.

I hope to be more interactive in the future. Talk to you guys soon!

Anyways, the title of this entry, reprieve, I finally have a week off of school. I'm so relieved. I hate school, so this week off was a much needed break. I'm trying to get my bow set up. Any other archers out there? Now that I have some free time, I'll probably get my gaming on as well. Fallout 3 seems to go well with Danger Days. I'm using a character in a duster and a bandanna called "Star Fall" and I use the hunting rifle and .32 primarily and a laser pistol in backup. Also have a combat knife. I also just finished normal mode in Borderlands 2 with an assassin, mecro, and a siren. Anyone play Borderlands 2 on the pc (steam) and wanna hit Pandora with me?

Chandeliers hung down from the ceiling, adding to the building's aged feel. On stage behind the drumset, there was a huge Lola poster. First to perform were the Eeries. I don't think too many people were familiar with them, but the crowd was still receptive. They cheered and clapped along. As soon as the Eeries finished playing, seemingly all at once, the crowd compacted, everyone wanting to be closer to the stage in anticipation for Gerard Way. He made his way on at 9pm and opened with The Bureau. This was the first time I saw Gerard Way live, and it was a dream come true. The crowd went crazy, and I along with them. We were screaming and singing along jumping waving our hands in the air. At one point, I accidentally elbow-dropped some guy in the head as I was jumping around. After the first song, Gerard got on the mic and said "I ripped my pants". The show went on with Gerard telling the crowd "You're beautiful" in between songs. At one point, he was taking about beauty, he called us all beautiful followed by "My fucking pants are so fucked". It was a great show. At one point, he called someone in the crowd to play the tambourine during Get the Gang Together. He had the crowd say back to him "You know if I come around this way again" as he walked back and forth across the stage. The lights on stage alternated between red and a light blue. The blue light light made Gerard's face and hair appear white, and for a second, I swear he had on skeleton facepaint. Near the end of the set, Gerard ended up crawling on the floor with the tambourine. He ended with No Shows and like everything else, it was amazing. After he left the stage, the crowd began their chant "One more song, One more song..." After a minute, Gerard Way and the Hormones made their way back onstage, and he played Dasher for us. After the show, I spent $60 on merch. When I got home, my ears were ringing and my throat was sore. I had a hard time going to school the next day partially because I got home well after midnight, but also because going back to reality seemed such a letdown. I didn't want the night to end. I enjoyed every second of it. It was the most fun I've ever had.
